Why CIXE Investigations
"I got your six"

The name CIXE is pronounced like the number six because we are watching out for you. "I got your six" is a common military/law enforcement phrase meaning "I have your back" or "I am watching out for you." The saying originated with WWI fighter pilots who used clock positions to communicate, where 12 o'clock is straight ahead and 6 o'clock is directly behind, making it a critical, vulnerable blind spot that a wingman would cover. CIXE uses an eagle and a lion in our design because it represents how we have your back. The eagle is known for having eyesight 4-8 times stronger than humans which is how we approach each investigation looking at every detail. The lion is a powerful "king of the jungle" and the ultimate protector and our objective is to protect you and meet your expectations. Additionally, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., features four bronze lion sculptures that watch over fallen officers. This was especially important to me because one of my former law enforcement partners (M.P.) that was killed in the line of duty is watched over by the lions.

My Story

After I graduated with a bachelor's degree in public administration with an emphasis in Criminal Justice, I began my law enforcement career in 2000 with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department assigned to Men's County Jail.  In 2002, I lateralled to the Burbank Police Department and served as a patrol officer, field training officer, detective, and sergeant. During my career, I distinguished myself as a shift leader in arrests and testified as an expert witness in criminal court.  I also served on our department's SWAT team and earned two Police Medals related to an officer involved shooting and an active shooter turned hostage barricade. I was fortunate to attend hundreds of hours of relevant training related to but not limited to; dating/domestic violence, stalking, physical and sexual assault, restraining order violations, robberies, and homicides. I later obtained a master's degree in organizational leadership and a master's degree in criminal justice. I left law enforcement in 2016 and began conducting private investigations. I moved to Alabama in 2022 because both of my daughters attended Auburn University and my wife and I fell in love with the area. I'm currently a licensed Private Investigator in the state of Alabama with over 26 years of investigative experience.
